Today in our 1999 Ford F250 Super Duty we're going to install the Weather Tech bug shield, part number WT50035. Here's what a bug shield deflector looks like once it's installed. As you can see, it's a real nice, sleek and stylish deflector as it molds and contours to the front of our vehicle and the engine hood. It's made of an aerospace acrylic, so it's construction is very sturdy. It's also a scratch resistant surface, and once installed, will help protect the front of our vehicle from rock chips, bugs, and stains, that can build up over time. With included hardware and protectors, this bug shield is really easy to install as it uses manufacturer's existing holes on the bottom side of the hood. Now let's go ahead and show you how to install it. We simply use just a spray bottle with a soap and water solution, a clean rag, and a standard Phillip's screwdriver. more

Today on our 2013 Ford F-150, we'll be installing the Putco Element Bug Shield Hood Protector. Part Number P570300. Now we've already gone ahead and cleaned the area where the bug shield will be installed on our vehicle. You want to make sure that you go ahead and clean this area of the grill here because once the bug shield's installed, it may be a little difficult to get in there, get any bugs or anything off. You want to start off with a nice clean area. Next we'll go ahead and raise up our hood. We'll do a quick test bit of our bug shield. more

Today on our 2012 Ford E-250, we're going to be installing the WeatherTech Bug Shield, part number WT50187. Now to begin, we'll need to open our hood. Pull the hood latch here, releasing the hood where we can now open it up. Now that we have our hood open, we'll find the weather strip here at the edge and according to the instructions we'll need to locate the push pin fasteners where our bug shied will attach. Here on the passenger's side, it will be these two push pin fasteners. Here on the driver's side, we'll use these two fasteners here. more

Today on our 2011 Ford Ranger we're going to install the Weathertech Bug Shield, part number wt50122. To begin with you may want to go ahead and clean the front edge of the hood b because once the bug shields on it may be a little difficult to clean underneath it. Let's begin by raising the hood' you'll notice there's a rubber strip at the front edge of the hood. There are three small fasteners as well as some adhesive that holds this strip to the hood.You'll need to remove this before the installation of the bug shield. You can usually get your fingers underneath and just pop them out. For the adhesive it works best to not scratch the hood-you can slide your finger along it slowly pulling on the weather stripping piece and it will slowly pull off. more

EGR Bug Shield Installation - 2012 Ford F-150

Today on our 2012 Ford F150 were going to install the EGR Super Guard Bug Shield part number 303371.First well need to go ahead and pop the hood on the truck. Next were going to raise the hood enough that we can temporarily fit our bug shield in place. Our new shield is going to have a total of 5 attachment points. Weve got one on each end that have screws attached and 3 attachment points across the center where well be using adhesive and clips to secure it. Now lets go ahead and test fit it in position. Well insert the plastic attachment up into the hood and then secure the shield with the screw and washer. more
